Holistic Counselling Agreement and Contract

Purpose of Holistic Counselling

I understand that holistic counselling at Canal Counselling is a collaborative process that supports my emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and personal growth in a compassionate, non-judgmental environment.(Required)

Confidentiality

I acknowledge that everything I share during sessions is confidential and will not be disclosed without my consent, except where disclosure is required by law (such as risk of harm).(Required)

Sessions and Scheduling

I agree to attend sessions as scheduled and provide at least 24 hours’ notice if I need to cancel or reschedule. I understand missed sessions without adequate notice may incur a fee.(Required)

I understand that sessions can be in person, online, or by phone, whichever is safest and most accessible for me.(Required)

I understand the proposed schedule and agree to commit to the mutually agreed timeline.(Required)

Fees and Payment

I agree to pay fees promptly as agreed before the start of counselling.(Required)

I understand that payment must be made in full (or a deposit if agreed upon) before services commence.(Required)

My Responsibilities

I agree to engage honestly within my comfort level and to communicate any concerns to my counsellor.(Required)

I understand I am responsible for informing Canal Counselling if I wish to pause or end counselling.(Required)

I accept responsibility for providing accurate and timely information and acknowledge that failure to do so may impact the outcomes.(Required)

Limitations of Holistic Counselling

I understand holistic counselling is not a substitute for medical or psychiatric care, and that progress depends on my individual path and pace.(Required)

Communication and Revisions

I agree to maintain timely communication and respond to requests for information or feedback to support the process.(Required)

Refunds and Cancellations

I understand that once sessions have started, refunds are not guaranteed unless otherwise agreed in writing.(Required)

I accept that cancellation without 24 hours’ notice may result in a fee or forfeiture of that session.(Required)

Intellectual Property and Portfolio Use

I understand that final materials or resources shared during counselling (e.g. tools, worksheets, recordings) are for personal use only.(Required)

I agree that, with my consent, anonymized elements of my journey may be used for educational or professional portfolio purposes.(Required)

Liability Waiver

I acknowledge that Canal Counselling is not liable for any indirect or consequential outcomes from the use or application of guidance received during counselling.(Required)

Addressing Concerns

I agree to raise any concerns directly with my counsellor so they can be addressed collaboratively.(Required)

I understand that if issues remain unresolved, I can be referred to independent support services.(Required)

Ending Counselling

I acknowledge I can end counselling at any time and that a final session to reflect on progress is recommended.(Required)

Final Agreement Confirmation

By ticking all the above boxes, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Holistic Counselling Agreement with Canal Counselling.(Required)

I understand that my payment serves as my formal agreement and signature to the above terms and conditions.(Required)
